A ‘Sopranos’ movie? Per Edie Falco: Fahgettaboudit

HollywoodNews.com: As much as Edie Falco would love to be a part of a “Sopranos” feature film, she doubts one will ever get made.

“Frankly, I think it’s not going to materialize,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “But stranger things have happened.”

Rumors started to surface about a potential “Sopranos” movie in 2008. On the HBO show, Falco played the wife to mafia kingpin Tony Soprano.

“I would definitely be interested in being involved,” she said. “I’m pretty good at rolling with the punches. I would be fine if it never happened, but I would also love to go back there and see all the people I love again. Who knows? I’m not the one making the decisions and I would jump at the chance to participate.”

Earlier this year, “Sopranos” actor Steven Van Zandt pretty much made it official that a feature film of the HBO series wouldn’t happen. Instead, David Chase is consuming himself with directing a feature about the ‘60s New Jersey rock scene for Paramount.

Falco currently stars in Showtime’s “Nurse Jackie” which returns next year.
