Emma Thompson Promotes “Nanny McPhee Returns” in Atlanta

By Hanako M. Ricks

HollywoodNews.com: Actress Emma Thompson, who recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, recently paid a visit to the Margaret Mitchell House in Atlanta to have tea and a Q&A session with young fans of her Nanny McPhee series.

The visit was part of promotions for Nanny McPhee Returns, the second installment in the popular book-turned-movie series for which Thompson holds screenwriting and lead acting credits. Thompson, who is also well-known among younger audiences as the eccentric Professor Trelawney in the Harry Potter franchise, visited with fans on August 12 at Commercial Row at the Margaret Mitchell House. Thompson enthusiatically answered questions from kids and adults alike, and also signed copies of the Nanny McPhee books. Photos from the event can be seen here.

Nanny McPhee Returns is scheduled to be released this Friday, August 20, in theaters nationwide.
