Bret Michaels was Donald Trump’s “top choice” to host the Miss Universe Pageant

HollywoodNews.com: Superstar musician Bret Michaels will co-host the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant along side NBC’s “Today” show correspondent Natalie Morales. The show just released a handful of celebrities that will judge the competition and they include Criss Angel, William Baldwin, Sheila E, Tamron Hall, Evan Lysacek, Chazz Palminteri, Chynna Phillips, Jane Seymour, and Niki Taylor.

Donald Trump, Owner of the Miss Universe Organization, had the following to say about Bret hosting this year’s Miss Universe Pageant:

“Bret was my top choice to host this year’s Miss Universe Pageant, he really proved himself on ‘The Celebrity Apprentice.’ He is a certified rock star who has toured the world and now the universe shares the stage with him,” said Donald J. Trump. “Knowing Bret, I am confident anything can happen and the ratings will be through the roof!”

Six time Grammy award winning artist John Legend will set the tone for the evening as he performs with The Roots (“Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”). Orianthi is also set to perform at the event that will take place at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on August 23 (9-11 p.m. ET) on NBC.
