Lady Gaga’s first arena tour continues to demand high ticket sales
HollywoodNews.com: Lady Gaga has more hit singles than we can keep track of. As the mega-star gears up for the release of her new album that her producer says will be “shocking,” she continues to retain her success as she plays to sold out shows at some of the biggest venues in North America.
Her current first arena tour entitled the “Monster Ball” has garnered such high demands for tickets that Live Nation had to extend the tour to return to the U.S. next February for another run of dates, according to Billboard. The 2011 North American tour will start on February 19 in Atlantic City with ten dates spreading through April 18. Rock band Semi Precious Weapons will continue to be Gaga’s opener on the extended tour.
Gaga’s “Monster Ball” tour has been so successful that Billboard estimates by the time she’s done with the run, she will have grossed close to $200 million worldwide.
