The legal side of Hilary Duff’s marriage
HollywoodNews.com: Before walking down the aisle, Hilary Duff had to sign off on a prenup for now-husband Mike Comrie, allegedly in regard to his family’s money.
The actress and singer was reportedly fine with the prenuptial agreement that will likely protect, among other things, Comrie’s family money as his dad is the founder of a Canadian appliance and furniture empire that is worth an estimated $500 million, reports Us Weekly.
Money appears to not be an issue for the two who began dating in 2007 as Comrie, a hockey player, surprised Duff with a Mercedes-Benz G-class SUV as an early birthday gift not long after they became a couple.
Also, Duff’s engagement ring is reported to be worth about $1 million.
