Hollywoodnews.com: Most of us are gearing up for a full slate of fall film festivals, from Toronto and Venice to the Hollywood Film Festival, which launches on Oct. 20.
But one festival wants us to look even further down the schedule … to Spring 2011.
That’s when the next Tribeca Film Festival will be held. Specifically, the festival will take over lower Manhattan from April 20 to May 1, 2011.
The festival also recently announced a call for submissions in the narrative and documentary feature categories, as well as for short film entries. Deadlines to submit U.S. and international films for the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival are as follows:
Sept. 13, 2010 – SUBMISSIONS OPEN
Nov. 5, 2010 – EARLY DEADLINE, FEATURES & SHORTS
Dec. 10, 2010 – OFFICIAL DEADLINE, ALL FEATURES AND SHORTS COMPLETED IN 2010
Jan. 10, 2011 – LATE DEADLINE, 2010 FEATURE LENGTH WORK-IN-PROGRESS AND FILMS COMPLETED AFTER OFFICIAL DEADLINE
Starting Sept. 13, submission forms and complete information regarding eligibility for the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival will be available at www.tribecafilm.com/festival. Questions regarding submissions may be directed to entries@tribecafilmfestival.org or by calling 212-941-2305.
