The End of Harry Potter Not Slowing Down Its Stars With filming for the Harry Potter films at an end, many of the films’ stars have been appearing in public more often; their schedules now being unemcumbered and allowing them to branch out more than usual.

A majority of the stars have been out and about, promoting the next Harry Potter release while also promoting new projects: Rupert Grint’s recent Apple store appearance promoting the DVD release of his latest movie Cherrybomb, Daniel Radcliffe’s unexpected appearance at Movie Con last weekend for Deathly Hallows, and Emma Thompson’s visit with children in Atlanta to promote the release of Nanny McPhee Returns. Others, such as Emma Watson and Matthew Lewis, are busy promoting various projects, such as an ethical clothing line (Watson) and being a BAFTA video game ambassador (Lewis). Lewis also recently came back to the States, where he was on hand to personally announce the next (and final) location for Harry Potter: The Exhibition, which will make its move to Seattle next month.

James and Oliver Phelps are scheduled guests at next weekend’s Dragon*Con convention in Atlanta, and will join fellow co-star Tom Felton in Germany for Ring*Con in October. As of now, the twins are not working on any new projects but Felton has been quite busy, having snagged a role in Rise of the Apes, the latest film in the Planet of the Apes franchise.

It’s safe to say that while Harry Potter has given these stars their roots in acting, it has also given them wings, as they all seem to be soaring towards great things in their future.
