“Modern Family” wins the Emmy for Best Comedy Series
HollywoodNews.com: “Nurse Jackie’s” Edie Falco already took home the award for Best Comedy Actress and “Glee’s” Jane Lynch took home the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
However, with a category list that includes “Nurse Jackie,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “30 Rock,” “Glee,” “The Office,” and “Modern Family,” there are too many amazing shows all vying for the award. But closing off the night, it was “Modern Family” that captured the hearts and laughs of America to take home the award for Best Comedy Series. With a show that received 14 nominations this year and two wins already tonight, it looks like this award was well deserved.
