Michael Douglas is on the cover of Men’s Journal: Speaks on son Cameron’s drug bust
HollywoodNews.com: Michael Douglas looks the picture of health on the cover of Men’s Journal in a photo taken just 11 weeks before announcing he has throat cancer.
The 65-year-old actor gave his interview to the magazine in May to promote his upcoming movie ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.’
The actor will have aggressive radiation and chemotherapy to treat the disease. In the article, the father-of-three gives no hint of the throat problems that are said to have troubled him for months.
He does, however, say: “It hasn’t been an easy month.”
The interview was done shortly after his son Cameron was convicted for drug trafficking and was sentenced to five years in prison. While admitting his faults as a father, the actor refuses to take absolute blame for the 31-year-old’s legal troubles.
He says: “I assume some responsibility. But I’m not beating myself up. We’ve got addiction genes in the family. Good things can happen and bad.”
