Paris Hilton treated differently in jail to avoid “disruptions”
HollywoodNews.com: Paris Hilton was “treated differently” in jail, according to reports.
The 29-year-old hotel heiress was arrested last month in Las Vegas for cocaine possession. But when she attended the Clark County Detention Center afterwards, she was reportedly processed in half the time it normally takes.
The LA socialite’s alleged special treatment was because the authorities were worried that her presence would cause disruptions, according to reports.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Deputy Chief Jim Dixon told the Las Vegas Review-Journal: “She [Hilton] was treated differently. So I don’t have a disruption of my process here at the county jail.”
He added: “When you bring somebody in like that, everybody comes over and tries to look at them. I’d have officers attempting to keep inmates away from her, I’d have disruptions.”
Hilton was charged with felony cocaine possession and could face up to four years behind bars.
