Lindsay Lohan has “made the turn,” but needs “a lot of work,” says Dr. Drew

HollywoodNews.com: Lindsay Lohan has gone through a brief stint in jail and as well as a few weeks as an in-patient at UCLA’s Medical Center. Even though the actress is out, looking healthier and reportedly doing well, Dr. Drew feels as if the actress still has a long road ahead of her.

When talking to Radar Online, he said, “I think for sure, Lindsay has finally made the turn. I’m very, very hopeful. But I also think she needs a lot of time and a lot of work…three meetings a day, going to her sponsor regularly, but there’s hope.”

He adds that haters judging Lohan’s actions as a bad example for the youth isn’t helping anyone. “You’re more likely to die of addiction than the vast majority of cancers. So for us to sit and look at the behavior of young Hollywood and sort of sit back in judgment and disdain…it’s not a very helpful position for us to be in. These are people in trouble. Sure they’re maybe not setting the greatest example, but let’s get them the care they need so they can turn things around and then let’s work on our own gardens, support our own families.”

Let’s hope Lohan’s tuning in and taking the advice.
