Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp in new ‘Tourist’ trailer

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: As promised, the trailer for “The Tourist,” with Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp, has made it online, giving fans their first glimpse at the stylish new thriller.

The film, directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, stars Johnny Depp as an American tourist whose dalliance with a stranger (Angelina Jolie) leads to a web of intrigue, romance and danger. Against the breathtaking backdrop of Paris and Venice, their whirlwind romance quickly evolves as they find themselves unwittingly thrust into a deadly game of cat and mouse.
Henckel von Donnersmarck co-wrote “The Tourist” with Christopher McQuarrie and Julian Fellowes. It looks frothy, fast and fun … the kind of adult escapism “Knight & Day” tried to deliver this summer … with Depp in Cameron Diaz’s “innocent” role and Jolie, not Tom Cruise, as the trained killer.

The trailer can be seen below. It also will be attached to prints of Ben Affleck’s “The Town,” opening this Friday.

The film will open on Dec. 10.
