Richard Ayoade’s ‘Submarine’ acquired by Weinstein
HollywoodNews.com: After the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Richard Ayoade’s ‘Submarine,’ Weinstein Company made the move to acquire the rights of the film for its North American release.
The film is a coming-of-age comedy starring Craig Roberts as a teenager who is dealing with his parents ending their relationship while going through his first relationship. The film is Ayoade’s feature debut and had Ben Stiller as one of the executive producers.
Submarine is an adaptation of Joe Dunthorne’s award-winning novel.
