Lady Gaga and VMA dress are not the same

HollywoodNews.com: Lady Gaga laughed off the controversy surrounding her VMAs meat dress during a gig.

The off-the-wall singer told fans she did not see what all the fuss was about and claimed it was no different to wearing leather. “What’s everyone’s big problem with my meat dress?” she asked during her Tuesday night show at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

“Haven’t they seen me wear leather? Next time I’ll wear a tofu dress and the soy milk police will come after me.” Gaga, 24, was slammed by animal rights organizations last weekend after she accepted the MTV Video Music Award for ‘Video of the Year’ wearing a bizarre dress made out of flank steak.

‘The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ condemned the outfit, referring to it as “flesh from a tortured animal”. The singer, however, has said that she wore it to encourage people to stand up for what they believe in and to show people that she was “not a piece of meat”.

“It is certainly no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian,” she told Ellen DeGeneres the day after the awards show.

“As you know, I am the most judgment-free human being on the earth. However, it has many interpretations. If we don’t stand up for what we believe in and if we don’t fight for our rights, pretty soon we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And I am not a piece of meat.”

I don’t think anyone looks at Lady GaGa as a piece of meat, why does she think so many people want to do her? Usually the people that talk about sex the most are the ones that don’t get any. She’s gross. And she really needs to get over herself.. ““As you know, I am the most judgment-free human being on the earth.” who even says that? This chick is trapped in her own bubble and definitely thinks she’s the Messiah. I wish she would just GO AWAY.

MarMar, She meant piece of meat in a different way. She meant that if we don’t stand up for our rights then we will have as many rights as a piece of meat: none. As for her not “getting any,” she’s a f@$%ing pop star dude. She can have any man she wants, and they’d probably be about ten times better looking than you. She never once has said she’s the “Messiah,” and she is probably one of the most judgement free celebrities i’ve ever heard of. I dare you to find one thing bad she’s said about anyone in a public forum. I dare you. In conclusion, I wish you’d just go away.

judgemental: of or denoting an attitude in which judgments about other people’s conduct are made
So, her thoughts on thinking if we don’t stand up for ourselves to the government or the man or whoever she’s rambling about isn’t a judgement on the people or aliens or whatever that will turn us into pieces of meat? What about her putting down the military for don’t ask don’t tell? I’m against that stuff too, but this chick talks so highly of herself, she obviously has a god complex, sorry. The fame has gone to her head. I never said she said she was the Messiah, but if you listen to or read her interviews, it’s so obvious that she is delusional and believes her.. you know, stuff doesn’t stink. 😉 And listen to her songs, they’re all about guys wanting to be with her, or her wanting a guy, wow, deep. Such a genius, her bragging about NYU and Julliard really shows in those amazing songs, yup.. And you’d think that someone who is liberal enough to stick up for gay rights (which I am all for) would also stick up for animal rights.. but obviously wearing a meat sack for a dress proves she could care less. Because she is obviously above all else, so screw animals apparently. Nice. She’s only one kind of artist, and that’s a rip off artist. People tell her what to say, how to dress, etc. She’s a product to make money, and you’ve fallen for it. I’m sure you’re a cool person, and you could do a lot better than adoring Lady Gaga. She’s generic and pretentious. See through the garbage! And the dudes can’t really be compared to me in hotness, considering I’m a chick, but thanks for the insult, it’ll make me smile for the next couple hours. 🙂
And btw, peace signs are cool in middle school and the sixties, after that it’s just.. hm… lame, at least as a tattoo. Original?!??!
