Jennifer Lopez “used to” diva rumors
HollywoodNews.com: After many months of speculation and rumors, Jennifer Lopez has finally been officially selected as one of the judges on “American Idol.” Now that she’s nabbed the coveted spot, she’s defending herself and the rumors that came with it.
At a press conference following the event she said, “After as many years as I’ve been in this business, I’m used to that kind of stuff. I’m used to speculation,” reports People.
“I was calming the FOX people down,” she explained. “I was like, ‘Listen, it’ll be gone tomorrow. Once they hear who we are and what we’re doing, it’s going to be fine. Don’t worry about it.’ I was just looking forward to getting started.”
Mike Darnell, head programming of FOX said, “I can tell you from the Fox standpoint, the deal was not tough. There were no diva demands. It was a really easy, comfortable deal with both parties.”
