Plastic surgeon speaks out against E! show ‘Bridalplasty’

HollywoodNews.com: E! is setting up to premiere a new show called ‘Bridalplasty’ in which brides compete for various plastic surgeries before their weddings, but other professionals appear to be upset with the whole concept.

As brides are eliminated, the winning woman will receive the wedding of her dream and unveil her new look at the altar. Many aren’t sure this is the best concept including Dr. Daniel Shapiro M.D. FACS of Shapiro Plastic Surgery in Scottsdale. “Plastic surgery is not like shopping at the grocery store – patients can’t and shouldn’t simply pick and choose the procedures they want because they think it’s warranted,” Dr. Shapiro stated and added that the healing time alone takes a minimum of six months.

And as the decision to undergo plastic surgery can also have an emotional affect, Dr. Shapiro doesn’t think adding a wedding to the stress is a good idea.
