Emma Stone might take a trip down ’21 Jump Street’

HollywoodNews.com: Emma Stone is rapidly becoming the new Hollywood starlet. After clocking close to $33 million in “Easy A” this weekend, it’s been announced that she’s in talks to star in the big-screen version of ‘80s TV show “21 Jump Street.”

Per Cinematical, Stone will play opposite Jonah Hill. The original “21 Jump Street,” was the TV show that launched Johnny Depp’s uber acting career. In the show, cops pose as high school students in an effort to solve crimes.

Hill and Josh Appelbaum penned the script with Phil Lord directing. Production is set to begin next year.

Stone and Hill previously appeared in “Superbad” together. She had had a number of turns in a string of films over the last two years including “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past,” “Zombieland” and “The House Bunny.”

However, the one pivotal film role that Stone would be prime for: ‘The Lindsay Lohan’ story. Many bloggers can’t disagree with that.
