Natalie Portman would load up a gun for ‘Professional 2’
HollywoodNews.com: As Nataile Portman generates Oscar buzz as an obsessed ballerina in “Black Swan,” the actress yearns to return to her roots.
Portman says that she’d return to the role that made her in Hollywood at the age of 12, Mathilda, in Luc Besson’s sequel to “the Professional,” entitled “Leon” in France.
The one clause in her contract: Besson needs to direct. Apparently, the director has a script, but won’t helm. In terms of high-octane actioners which made Besson famous, he’s left the bulk of them to other helmers, i.e. the “Taxi” and “Transporter” films, and instead took a producer role on such fare.
Speaking to MTV, Portman said: “I have never read it because Luc won’t direct it himself, and so I’m only interested if he [directs].
“I told him if he would do it himself, I would do it in two seconds. But he won’t, so…”
