Hollywoodnews.com: Daft Punk fans, “Tron” fans, and rabid admirers of both will want to circle Nov. 22 on their calendars. That’s the day the electronic music duo’s anticipated soundtrack for Disney’s high-tech sequel will be in stores.
The news broke on the official Web site for the “Tron” soundtrack. The site has a clip of the ominous score on a loop. It also contains a countdown clock to a poster preview, which will drop in approximately 12 more days (or less, depending on when you actually read this).
“Tron: Legacy,” directed by Joseph Kosinski, follows the adventures of Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), son of video-game developer Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) who discovers Flynn’s Arcade and ends up being pulled into the virtual world where Kevin has spent the past two decades. Bruce Boxleitner, Olivia Wilde and Michael Sheen co-star in the film, which will be released in 2-D and 3-D on Dec. 17.
