Sally Menke, Tarantino’s frequent film editor, found dead

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Sally Menke, an Oscar-nominated film editor who frequently worked with Quentin Tarantino, has been found dead. Her body was discovered early this morning by searchers in Beachwood Canyon.

The L.A. Times is reporting that Menke, 53, went hiking on Monday but didn’t return. Friends alerted the authorities and a search was conducted.

Menke’s credits include “Kill Bill,” “Pulp Fiction,” and “Inglorious Basterds.” She received Oscar nominations for the latter two films.

The Times says no cause of death was reported, and it’s “unclear whether the heat was a factor.”
