Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon want sponsors for b’day bash

HollywoodNews.com: Nick Cannon wants sponsors to shell out for his 30th birthday bash.

Even though his wife, Mariah Carey, is worth $400 million, the “America’s Got Talent” host thinks that the event is prime for corporations to tout their brand. The birthday party is expecting to lure Jay-Z, Beyonce, Will and Jada Smith, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, Quincy Jones, Kobe Bryant and Jamie Foxx as guests.

It’s not an unusual request to have sponsors for a star-studded event, especially in this economy. In fact, many studios have utilized a similar funding tactic for their movie premieres.

Page Six received an e-mail from Cannon’s reps which said “This is an extremely exciting opportunity to sponsor a fun and lavish event . . . opportunities range from gift bags and signage to tweets and photo ops.”

The event is scheduled to take place on Oct. 8 in New York and in Los Angeles on Oct. 9 at the Universal Studios.

Here’s a snapshot of the some of the sponsorship levels for the “Nick Cannon Birthday celebration hosted by Mariah Carey”:

–Companies can pay $25,000 for three tweets, access to service out photos and a “logo on all collateral.”

–Sponsors can pay $2,500 to be in the gift bag.

–a $15,000 donation includes “one tweet” and “mention in all p.r. materials.”

–These prices are only for a single city, while there are other packages to promote on both coasts.

Cannon and Carey have a history of throwing lavish soirees. Cannon whisked the singer off to Barbados for her 39th fiesta last year while for her 40th he blessed her with a pink Porsche. Meanwhile, their wedding was at Six Flags.
