Shia LaBeouf’s role model: Dustin Hoffman

HollywoodNews.com: It could be argued, based on his flawless, jittery acting style, that Jesse Eisenberg, who plays Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in “The Social Network,” is the next Dustin Hoffman.

But wait a minute – Shia LaBeouf, 24, wants to be on par with the legendary chameleon thesp. More specifically, in terms of Hoffman’s relentless stamina and long resume.

Speaking to the Sun, the “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” actor says “I am not where I want to be at. And I hope I will never go to the stage where I’ve gotten there and I am comfortable. Because that’s the death of an actor.

“Look at Hoffman, he is still striving, pushing and fighting. Comfort is the end. I have goals that are tangible, but they are way distant, and I created them so that they are distant.”

Also mentioned in the article was how LaBeouf and his g.f. Carey Mulligan, who also stars in “Wall Street 2,” want to wait to have kids and tie the knot.

However, LaBeouf is a humble guy: “I am not the most talented dude of my generation. I am the luckiest dude on the planet, it feels like.”
