‘Housewives of NJ’ star Danielle Staub reaches settlement

HollywoodNews.com: ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star Danielle Staub’s legal troubles appear to be lessening now that she has settled one major lawsuit with her ex-husband.

Staub and ex Kevin Maher reportedly came to a settlement in the matter where she accused him of rape and more while he was suing her for spreading lies about him, states TMZ. Maher was reportedly suing Staub for $5 million and while details about the settlement are confidential, cash was allegedly involved.

Maher reportedly claims that both parties are satisfied in the matter and also noted “[i]t’s interesting that the case gets settled the day before Danielle was supposed to be deposed.”

Hmmm, I wonder if this Maher person needed to settle with Danielle Staub because his witness from RHONJ Caroline Manzo did not tell the whole truth? I wonder if Caroline made some things up to make herself seem important? Caroline said so many time on the show that she and Danielle never spoke – never. So how is it that when it came to her deposition Caroline had so much infromation from what Danielle said to her? How did this happen if Caroline and Danielle never spoke. Can it be that maybe the story was just not true? I wonder…

Maher doesn’t sound like the kind of guy I’de want to have any history with, but Danielle wouldn’t of chosen to settle if there wasn’t some merit to his case. I suspect that she also doesn’t need anymore embarrassing info. about her past out there. My bet is she avoided the deposition in that it would chip away at any credibility she would like to appear as having with regards to contesting his lawsuit. If the case brought against her had no merit, she wouldn’t of settled (which means she is paying him some money) how much, who knows…Possibly the other story that broke today, about the “court ordered” sale of Bev’s house will be part of the settlement… I wonder…
