Simon Cowell receiving special Emmy for American Idol judging

HollywoodNews.com: Music Mogul Simon Cowell is set to receive a special award at this year’s International Emmys.

Cowell, 50, will be presented with the ‘International Emmy Founders Award’ for his work on TV talent shows, including ‘American Idol.’

The ‘X Factor’ judge will be joined at the ceremony by nine other British television stars nominated for the awards.

In total TV stars from 15 different countries are up for the prestigious awards, which will be presented by former ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ star Jason Priestley in New York on November 22nd.

‘Harry Potter’ actress Helena Bonham Carter, 44, is recognized in the Best Actress category for her role as children’s author Enid Blyton in the BBC TV show ‘Enid.’
