Will Smith spat with producers puts brakes on ‘Men in Black 3’
HollywoodNews.com: The production of “Men in Black 3” is on pause.
Turns out Will Smith isn’t happy with the script and is clashing with producers per Page Six.
“Men in Black 3” went into preproduction last month. This is the second time that the film has been halted on account of Smith’s disagreements with director Barry Sonnenfeld and the film’s producers.
Sony has a different story: the sci-fi comedy sequel isn’t moving forward due to New York State movie incentives.
A Page Six source snitches, ” ‘Men in Black 3’ has gone on hiatus again, this time for two weeks, after having shut down for a week and started back up. Smith, Sonnenfeld and the producers have been fighting. The start date for filming had already been put off.”
Imdb had a release date for “MIB3” of Memorial Day weekend 2012. Sony has stated in the past that the third installment will be released in 3D. Previous “MIB” films have reaped a fortune during the Independence Day frame – a holiday which Smith owns at the box office.
