‘Black Death’ U.S. rights go to Magnet Releasing

HollywoodNews.com: The U.S. rights to Christopher Smith’s film ‘Black Death’ have reportedly been acquired by the Wagner/Cuban Company’s Magnet Releasing, genre arm of Magnolia Pictures.

‘Black Death’ stars Sean Bean and is a creepy medieval period film in which a group aims to get rid of suspected paganism in a village that has not yet been affected by the black plague while the rest of Europe suffers from it.

“On the one hand it is a violent historical drama and on the other, a terrifying horror movie,” director Christopher Smith has said about the film.

Magnet is reportedly planning on releasing the film in early 2011.

OMG really? Getting ridding of pagans? thats awful, and this is pretty sad. shame on them for encouraging such intollerent filth. lets hope it puts a better message of paganism across than killing us all 🙁
