Carey Mulligan stays busy in wake of Shia LaBeouf break-up

HollywoodNews.com: While it was recently reported that Shia LaBeouf and Carey Mulligan recently broke up, apparently they’ve been split up for some time. Nonetheless, the actress has been busy.

Though there has been reports that Mulligan, 25, plans to return to London, currently she is residing at a Los Angeles Best Western hotel during the production of the independent film “Drive.”

“I don’t know why people are so down on the Best Western,” Mulligan told Page Six Monday, “They have the best sweet potato fries.”

Mulligan warmly presented the Breakthrough Actor Award at the Hollywood Awards last night to her fellow “Never Let Me Go” co-star and friend Andrew Garfield.

Mulligan and LaBeouf met during the production of “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” in August 2009 in which they were cast as an onscreen couple.

Stone in a celebrity magazine interview remarked: “You could see their chemistry right away, and it was pretty powerful. They were completely professional on the set, but there was no mistaking what was happening.”

LaBeouf, 24, previously dated his “Transformers” costar Megan Fox and singer Rihanna.
