Julianne Moore: “Comedy’s hard”

HollywoodNews.com: Actress Julianne Moore said she finds comedy flicks the hardest movies to film.

The 49-year-old star is appearing in new film ‘The Kids Are All Right,’ which sees her play one-half of a lesbian couple.

Speaking about the movie, she said to UK newspaper Daily Mirror: “I always thought the movie was very funny, but I don’t know that everyone saw that. People are very reluctant to invest unless they know it’s going to be a sure thing and, let’s face it, film is never a sure thing.”

She added: “Comedy’s hard. With drama, you have a responsibility to the emotional truth. But with comedy, you have emotional truth and you have technique on top of it.”
