Katherine Heigl romance flick ‘Adaline’ finds a mate with Summit

HollywoodNews.com: Katherine Heigl’s new romantic drama “Adaline” will be getting released through Summit Entertainment.

The “Twilight” film company nabbed domestic rights to the project which centers on “an ageless woman who falls in love after years in isolation” per the Hollywood Reporter.

Andy Tennant of “Hitch” fame will be helming. J. Mills Goodloe, Salvador Paskowitz and Allison Burnett are working on the script. Summit is eyeing an early 2012 release. Production starts in March. Heigl and Nancy Heigl are also exec producing.

Summit chief Rob Friedman called the pic “a fantastic story that we believe will resonate with the American audience.”

Summit has been reaping a fortune among adult audiences at the box office recently with its action pic “Red” starring Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich and Morgan Freeman. To date, “Red” has been in the black earning $59 million.
