Annette Bening is alright with Santa Barbara Film Festival kudo
HollywoodNews.com: Annette Bening’s odds of landing a best actress nomination this award season are heating up.
After being lauded with the Hollywood Best Actress Award, news comes that “The Kids Are All Alright” leading lady is receiving the American Riviera Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
The prize goes to an actor who has made a big impact on American cinema. It will be presented to Bening on January 28 at Santa Barbara’s Arlington Theatre.
“I fell in love with Annette Bening the moment I saw her on Broadway in ‘Coastal Disturbances’ in 1987,” SBIFF executive director Roger Darling said. “It was one of those ‘a star is born’ moments. Ever since, she’s been one of my favorite actresses, and she will always have a home here at the festival.”
Bening is a three-time Oscar nominee. The Santa Barbara fest runs from Jan. 27-Feb. 6.
