Stephen Dorff: ‘Somewhere’ is ‘the icing on the cake’ for his career

HollywoodNews.com: Stephen Dorff can’t stand how fickle Hollywood can be, particularly in regards to supporting actors.

Dorff weathered a cycle in his career, going from hot to cold to hot again. He stars in Sofia Coppola’s upcoming drama “Somewhere,” due out on December 22 and he’s being flooded with offers once again.

“It’s just funny how fickle Hollywood is. Two years ago, I was losing all these parts to guys I won’t mention,” says Dorff.

“Now I’m getting all these parts and ‘Somewhere’ hasn’t even come out yet. It’s very strange. But I’ve been doing this so long, it doesn’t surprise me.”

Nonetheless, Dorff counts his blessings and expects his popularity to wane again.

“I’m ready for whatever happens,” says the actor “Anything that happens with this film, the excitement around it, is the icing on the cake.”
