Will Ferrell knocks Brad Pitt, analyzes ‘Megamind’

HollywoodNews.com: One can always count on Will Ferrell for some wonderful sarcasm in his interviews. During his press tour for “The Other Guys,” he had no problem ribbing Mark Wahlberg over his displeasure for Lady Gaga.

During his tubthumping for “Megamind,” his new animated feature, Ferrell took time to jab at his voiceover co-star Brad Pitt.

“It’s no secret that Brad and I have had a long-standing rivalry. I finally saw this as my opportunity to topple him,” said Ferrell to the Chicago Sun Times.

“While it definitely happened in this movie, I don’t know if it’s happened career-wise… yet. There’s only room for one hero, and it’s right here!”

The 43-year-old former “Saturday Night Live” alum also expounded on the morals in “Megamind.”

“In all superhero stories, there’s the back and forth between the good and bad forces. What’s fun here is that the bad guy finally gets everything he wishes for, and then realizes it’s an empty promise.

“That’s a good message for the kids, and maybe for their parents who will bring them to see the movie, as well.”

Ferrell’s previous summer comedy “The Other Guys” laughed up $156 million at the global box office.
