Exclusive: James Franco and Danny Boyle, “127 Hours”

By Sean O’Connell

Hollywoodnews.com: HollywoodNews.com’s interview feature, “Hollywood In Ten,” showcases the creative individuals responsible for the movies we love, and corners them for some quality minutes.

Danny Boyle and his leading man, James Franco, have been discussing “127 Hours” for months. First with each other as they constructed the visceral drama. And later with journalists as they hit the festival circuit, making stops in Telluride, Toronto, and points in between.

Yet their enthusiasm for the project hasn’t waned a bit … at least not by the look of the energetic duo as they sat down in a hotel room in Los Angeles and opened up about their collaboration. But that’s what happens when you’re discussing one of the year’s most compelling films. You’ll stand on any corner and shout the good news, so long as someone’s around to listen.

Now you get to listen to Boyle and Franco as they talk about their cavernous sets, the ideas that motivated them, the challenges they faced, and the grueling process that led to the tremendously rewarding “127 Hours.”
