Uwe Boll finally makes a movie I want to see

Hollywoodnews.com: What’s not to love about Uwe Boll?

Whether fair or not, the German director’s name has become synonymous with the dismissive term “hack.” But he doesn’t take the criticism lying down. In fact, he has been known to fight back. These stunts tend to be more interesting than Boll’s actual films, which include “Alone in the Dark” and “Bloodrayne.” But that might change.

Boll recently posted the trailer for his upcoming picture, and for once, I can honestly say I can’t wait to see it.

Titled “Blubarella,” Boll’s film stars Lindsay Hollister as a half-human, half-vampire, WWII-era superhero who wages war on the Nazi’s and ultimately confronts Hitler … played by Boll. Of course.

It looks better than it sounds. Blubberella fires massive, automatic weapons, pausing only to take a bite of her sandwich. She dodges bullets in extremely slow motion. You need more? Clint Howard co-stars.

There’s no release date on the “Blubarella” IMDb page, just the vague promise that it will arrive in 2011. And if you don’t like it, I’m sure Boll will be waiting in the boxing ring of his choice, ready to “debate” the film’s merits.
