’30 Rock’ could punch its clock at 10 p.m.

HollywoodNews.com: It is rumored that NBC will be creating a three-hour Thursday night comedy block, sliding it’s most popular sitcom “30 Rock” to 10 p.m.

Following, “30 Rock” will be the frosh comedy “Outsourced” at 10:30 p.m. Preceding the Tina Fey show will be a new show entitled “Perfect Couples” at 9:30 p.m.

Running prior to “Couples,” starting at 8 p.m. and running through 9:29 p.m. respectively will be “Community,” “The Office,” and “Parks and Recreation.”

Will audiences go along with this? NBC tried putting comedy at 10 p.m. with “The Jay Leno Show.” But this is scripted comedy, not a talk show.

Vulture points to a quote by Conan O’Brien commenting on the validity of timeslots in a DVR age: “Some people will make the argument that with DVRs and the Internet a time slot doesn’t matter. But with the Tonight Show, I believe nothing could matter more.”
