Darren Aronofsky appeases fanboys with ‘Wolverine 2’ details

HollywoodNews.com: Darren Aronofsky revealed more details about his directorial involvement with Fox’s reboot of the “X-Men” character Wolverine on the big screen.

The film which stars Hugh Jackman won’t be a sequel to the 2009 film rather a tale unto itself. Script is being penned by Oscar-winning scribe Christopher McQuarrie. The film will be simply titled “The Wolverine.”

In the film, Logan aka Wolverine, gets embroiled in a love triangle with a Japanese woman. Hearts get broken and bones to, as the metal-clawed mutant gets ticked off with the chick’s father and brothers – also skilled in the martial arts.

Aronofsky’s “Black Swan” is receiving some major Oscar buzz this season for best picture, actress (Natalie Portman) and director.

Vulture, Movieline and Coming Soon had the headlines.
