Jessica Simpson opens up about engagement, “different” ring
HollywoodNews.com: Now that some of the talk about Jessica Simpson’s quickie engagement has died down, the singer is opening up about the special moment and the ring.
Simpson admits that when Eric Johnson proposed, she was in shock, states People. And for those who think it was done because he ex-husband Nick Lachey got engaged, the proposal was apparently planned for some time.
As for the untraditional ruby ring: “I’ve already done the traditional thing so I just wanted to do something that was different,” Simpson said about how happy she was with Johnson’s choice.
