Lindsay Lohan replaced by Malin Akerman for “Inferno”

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Lindsay Lohan is out. Malin Akerman is in.

The beautiful blonde star of “Couples Retreat,” “27 Dresses” and “Watchmen” has replaced Lohan in “Inferno,” a planned biopic of “Deep Throat” star Linda Lovelace.

“We are currently in negotiations and working out the legalities of bringing [Akerman] on board,” director Matthew Wilder said to E! News.

It’s yet another setback on Lohan’s bid for credibility. Currently the former actress is working on fighting her addictions. But she remains in the headlines for her personal demons, and not for her work.

“We have stuck by Lindsay very patiently for a long time with a lot of love and support,” Wilder said.

But the show must go on, and Lohan no longer will be part of it.
