Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer to renew their historic rivalry in ATP World Tour Finals on Sunday

The tennis world’s top two players, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, won their semifinal matches today at the ATP World Tour Finals in London and will play for the title tomorrow.
It will mark only the second time the two have played in 2010. Nadal leads the rivalry 14-7 but Federer has more grand slam titles with 16 to Nadal’s nine. Both have won each of their sport’s four majors (Wimbledon, US Open, French Open, Australian Open) at least once.
Nadal, who defeated fourth-ranked Andy Murray in a brilliant 7-6, 3-6, 7-6 semifinal showdown, will be seeking his first year-end title.
Federer, a straight-sets winner over third-ranked Novak Djokovic, will be seeking his fifth ATP World Tour Finals title.
I’m rooting for Federer, of course, because he’s my favorite male player ever. He also needs the win more, I think, psychologically. Although he won his fourth Australian Open in January, he lost the number one ranking to Nadal over the summer after working so hard to regain it in 2009.
