David Cassidy DUI tape revealed
Hollywoodnews.com: David Cassidy – the actor and singer made famous for his role on the lovable sitcom, The Partridge Family- was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on Nov. 3rd, but the tape of the incident has just surfaced. Apparently, Cassidy provided a unique defense for a person in his situation.
According to TMZ, when asked by an officer if he had any problems with his eyes, Cassidy retorted, “I do … I had a wandering eye as a child … my right eye still wanders when I get tired.”
The following sobriety tests revealed that the sheer amount of alcohol in his system may have been more of a factor for Cassidy, who was also cited for having an open container of bourbon in the car.
Cassidy blew a 0.139 and a 0.141, way over the 0.08 limit.
Cassidy could be overheard complaining, “As a guy who’s supported you guys over the years …” The officer cut him off, saying “It doesn’t make a difference who you support.”
Cassidy is scheduled to appear in court in January.
