David Cassidy DUI tape revealed David Cassidy – the actor and singer made famous for his role on the lovable sitcom, The Partridge Family– was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on Nov. 3rd, but the tape of the incident has just surfaced. Apparently, Cassidy provided a unique defense for a person in his situation.

According to TMZ, when asked by an officer if he had any problems with his eyes, Cassidy retorted, “I do … I had a wandering eye as a child … my right eye still wanders when I get tired.”

The following sobriety tests revealed that the sheer amount of alcohol in his system may have been more of a factor for Cassidy, who was also cited for having an open container of bourbon in the car.

Cassidy blew a 0.139 and a 0.141, way over the 0.08 limit.

Cassidy could be overheard complaining, “As a guy who’s supported you guys over the years …” The officer cut him off, saying “It doesn’t make a difference who you support.”

Cassidy is scheduled to appear in court in January.
