James Franco and Anne Hathaway to host Oscars? – AWARDS SEASON ROUNDUP

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: HollywoodNews.com’s Awards Season Roundup collects insights from around the Internet on films that are running in the Oscar race.

Are James Franco and Anne Hathaway preparing to host the Oscars?

They may be handing an Oscar to David Fincher’s “The Social Network,” which was named the best film of 2010 by Sight & Sound Magazine. It beat “Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives.”

Justin Timberlake reportedly is lobbying on his own dime for a Best Supporting Actor nod.

Meanwhile, Debra Granik’s “Winter’s Bone” won the Bronze Horse for best picture at the Stockholm International Film Festival. Star Jennifer Lawrence took home Best Actress.

Tom Hooper’s “The King’s Speech” performed well in limited release at the box office.

Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis says Darren Aronofsky kept them at odds while filming “Black Swan.”

And finally, “True Grit” screened over the weekend, and while no one is allowed to talk about it until Wedesday, early leaked Tweets raved about the Coen Brothers’ latest film.

They’ll be ok. But to be the host of the Oscars you should be more than simply an actor or comic but an overall entertainer. Oh for the days of Chris Rock, Billy Crystal & Jon Stewart.
