Adam Lambert “floored and honored” to receive a Grammy nomination

“Are you a huge fan of “Adam Lambert” who likes to blog? We’ve got a job for you…”

HollywoodNews.com: Adam Lambert has stated that it was always a dream of his to receive a Grammy nomination, and now it’s finally coming true. After doing some heavy touring over seas to support his latest album, the singer received some great news last night.

Lambert has been nominated for “Best Male Pop Vocal Performance” for his song “Whataya Want From Me.” After the news, he went on his Twitter account and tweeted, “Woah!!! Just got the news! A Grammy nomination?!?! I’m floored and honored. There are no words….”

Congratulations to Adam, he totally deserves this one!

Adam deserves it. He’s paid his dues. He’s 28 years old has worked in underground night clubs, bands, theater, cruise ships etc., etc. but no one would sign him because as he so aptly put it he was “too left off center”. A lot of industry experts agree as well as reviewers across the globe that his voice is untouchable. Did you see the review he got in Paris?

I do not agree with Justin Bieber getting a nomination. The kid is 16 years old. What dues has he paid? It’s more like he’s been handed everything on a silver platter. Don’t get me wrong he belongs in the music industry. He has a good voice and he appeals to the 14 and under girl market. They are a viable market and he fits that niche perfectly. But “best”? I’d rather see someone of substance and who has honed their skills over time.

Totally agree with Bruno Mars getting a nomination for his songwriting skills. The guy is amazing. MJ – THis is it by far not his best work. Stoked to see Florence and the Machine getting a nod. Eminem, personally I totally disagree with everything he stands for but I think he’s the best rapper out there. I agree too with the nom of Katy Perry over Kesha. Katy has a lot more substance and style than Kesha. I would have put Adam in best new artist category too considering his performance and vocal talent and sold out concerts. But it is an honor to get a nomination period. He must be on cloud nine.

He totally deserves this and many more, he is a true artist with soaring vocals and artistic ability to perform withot autotune and all the other fluff they use now a days on the name of singing. His vocals are pure and out of this world.

Adam definitely deserves the nomination. He’s the most talented male vocalist alive!! Way to go Adam.

Adam Lambert totally deserves this one! Best live singer everrrrr! He should have also got best album of the year especially when the producers of 5 of his songs got Noms!!! But I’m ecstatic that he was finally recoginzed for his amazing talent!!

No one deserves this more than Adam. In an industry rife with auto tuning & lip synching, he stands heads above most of his peers as a true artist with real vocal chops and the ability to excell in live performance. Actually I’m a little disappointed he only received one nomination. And in reply to his tweet : Adam, you know we love us some floorbert!

More than anything, I would love for Adam to sing on the Grammys so potential new fans could hear his heavenly voice. They would never forget it. Love you, Adam.

Congrats Adam, best singer/entertainer in decades, with a humble heart to match. Now I will for sure watch the Grammys just to catch a glimpse of Adam, I hope he might be able to sing on the show.

I cannot find my words to express how happy I am for the ROCK-GOD ADAM! He deserves every second of his success. Now let’s be honest: Who (male or female) in the music industry at the present time has a better voice and who is a better performer than ADAM?!!

    NOBODY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • December 2, 2010 | Permalink |

Congrats bb Adam! No one deserves this nom more than you & I hope TPTB will award you the winner of the best pop vocal cuz you surely do fit that title! And now I’ll greedily hope you can perform WWFM acousticly so that everyone watching will witness that powerful & beautiful voice you have. Oh, since the grammys were wise enough to nominate ya, I guess I’ll get to watch a music awards show this year instead of boycotting it..LOL!
You’re the “bestest” of all the singers around right now….love ya to death!!

Am so happy for Adam. I do agree that he should have gotten more nominations – Best new artist, etc. but am so happy he got nominated at all with the way the industry has been shunning him. I agree with another poster here who said he has the best voice out there now.

  • December 2, 2010 | Permalink |

I am so excited for his nomination. I was so bummed when I saw the paper today and didn’t see him for best new artist. I felt he deserved this. But now I am relieved to see he did get a nomination. We got more than we could hope for in the long run. Now if he could win that would be icing on the cake!!!!!!

  • December 2, 2010 | Permalink |

Adam definitely had the best vocals these year. He should win. If they invite him to perform, he should contain himself so the world can see his talent. Sad but true.

  • December 2, 2010 | Permalink |

ADAM deserves to be nominated AND ADAM deserves to WIN!! His VOICE is INcomparable and his SHOWMANSHIP is OUTSTANDING!! I hope ADAM gets to PERFORM as well!! I can honestly say that THIS is the only awards show I will be looking forward to watching … all the others I ‘snubbed’ because ADAM received no nomination. CONGRATULATIONS! ADAM!!!!

So excited for the glam rocker. Hope that Adam also gets the win. He so deserves it. Oh, and hope he gets to perform on the show.

  • December 3, 2010 | Permalink |

Adam has earned this nomination, he’s worked so hard especially over the past 6 months touring. He’s had great reviews everywhere, I’d love to see him win, he’s an amazing singer and performer.

I hope people check out Adam’s acoustic CD, to be released on iTunes next week (including you, HollywoodNews.com — give it a review, OK?). His vocals are absolutely stunning. He should have been nominated for Best New Artist as well. I hope the Grammys choose him to perform on the show and that he does an acoustic version of WWFM to show those who aren’t familiar with his talent just what he can do with that amazing voice of his. For example, here’s a link to the acoustic WWFM that is on this new EP — a song sung live, with just a single guitar as accompaniment; how many of today’s pop singers can approach this level of artistry?
