LGBT music stars feel the love from the Grammys

By Greg Hernandez

HollywoodNews.com: Adam Lambert’s Grammy nod is a reason to celebrate but there are also other LGBT faves that I’m happy were included in the nominations for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards..

Lady Gaga received six nominations including nods for both album of the year and best pop vocal album for The Fame Monster and best pop female vocal performance for her hit Bad Romance. I doubt the will wear a meat dress to the ceremony on February 13 but really, you never know.

The openly gay Elton John was nominated with Leon Russell in the category of best pop collaboration with vocals for the song It Wasn’t For Bad.

The cast of Glee, whose soundtrack albums are huge sellers, earned a nod for best pop vocal performance by a duo or group with vocals for their Don’t Stop Believin’ sung during the regionals competition episode. Their album Glee: The Music Vol. 1 is nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack.

I’m so happy for Adam. I’m gay and he is my favorite singer in the whole world. There’s a lot of straight people that likes him but they don’t know what it’s like to be like us, even though their love is what is pushing Adam’s career. Anyways he is against Michael Jackson that pretty much says it all.
