Adam Lambert hopes Grammy nominations get rid of ‘AI’ stigma

“Are you a huge fan of “Adam Lambert” who likes to blog? We’ve got a job for you…”

HollywoodNews.com: Adam Lambert feels like he is finally gaining some credibility and getting past the fact that he emerged from a reality competition show, even more now thanks to his Grammy nominations.

Lambert hopes that his nominations for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and his single ‘Whataya Want From Me’ will take away some of the “stigma,” states Digital Spy (via The Hollywood Reporter).

“I hope that at this point, after all the hard work I’ve done over the past year, the nomination will give me credibility as a true vocalist in the industry,” Lambert says about trying to prove himself ever since being on American Idol.

Do you think Adam Lambert has proven himself already?

I don’t even think about AI any more, he is way beyond it now. Great platform though.

Adam is a true artist. He doesn’t need nominations to gain credibility. The fact that he got nominated for Grammy simple shows that Grammy still has some credibility and recognizes the real talent.

I will have attended 50 GN tour concerts and Adam is the best vocalist and performer out there..why else would I go to 50 shows? Adam works so hard during each show with not only singing but dancing as well. He is the consummate performer. His shows are magic and he transports you away every show with his excitement and joy in what he is doing. Can’ t get enough of Adam live. He earned and deserved his Grammy nomination and IMO deservved more than just the one. Glad he had a great time after in Paris and had some “me” time. No one deserves his success more.

AI was just the platform Adam needed to launch his career. He has been in the business working his ass off for years. He has had to work very hard since AI to embark on such a successful world tour.

I think to some the AI ‘stigma’ will always be there – but I think true talent will outshine that – but it will take a long time for the critics to come around.

IMO he had already proven himself on AI to be an exceptionally talented vocalist and performer. Looking back at his pre-idol work, I listened to a voice that shocked me even having heard the Idol version of Adam. Having now seen him live three times, I understand that he also is mesmerizing to watch and has an avid fan-base. He’s a star, plain and simple. He deserves the Grammy, since vocally he seems to be able to do anything he wants — and convincingly.

Adam Lambert has more than proved himself, ten times over!!

As the first AI artist to HEADLINE his own international tour and sell out 95% of his shows is just amazing!! To think Adam Lambert should have to keep proving himself is just nuts. The man has MAD TALENT!! I don’t care how he got his big break – I am just gratfeul he got one and the fact that Slash came on AI just to meet him and Queen came on to play with him should really tell the story. The man can utterly sing his face off!!

Adam deserves everything good in this life. He’s worked hard for so many years to get to this point. I support him in everything he does. Love you, Adam!

Adam Is A STAR regardless AI……… Million of people are in love and/addicted to him for a reason: HE IS GREAT IN EVERYTHING HE DOES! WE CAN’T HAVE ENOUGH OF ADAM………….NO MATTER WHAT

Adam is one of the best vocalists that emerged this year. Being from a singing competition show only proved that the guy has true talent. His music speaks for itself. It shows he is a great artist who can cross into any genre of music and have it become a success. Adam may not have received all the recognition he deserved but that will changed with this nomination. Only shame is that he only received one nomination, he deserves at least three or four. I’m a true Glambert and his album is a great piece of work!!!

Adam doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone. His talent says it all. most artist can’t sing LIVE as great as Adam does. Mesmerizing is one way to describe him. Once he starts singing, I’m hooked! even afraid to blink lest i miss anything. A total performer. He is very much like Michael Jackson in terms of artistry and showmanship. A musical GENIUS. I just hope he stays grounded and level minded despite of all the outside influences that comes with success.

Adam is a STAR. Even if A.I. was the vehicle to wide exposure, Adam has the chops, the talent and the experience, and is so much more relevant and current than the crap the Industry “Machine” (Disney, ect) keeps churning out.

Adam has undeniable, phenomenal talent. His antics are what get in the way of his so-called “credibility”, not so much A.I. But the Grammy squad nominates performers based on their marketability, which is why he’s finally gotten a nod. He’d better win, too.

Adam has more than proven himself, what do you want from the guy? He has toured the world now thrilling and delighting his audiences, selling out concerts as soon as the tickets are available, his cd has gone platinum in many countries, etc. etc. I think one of the reasons he has been stuck with the Idol Label all of this time, is that no one else from 2008 or since has accomplished ( and Kris Allen fans don’t get all in a tither), anthing close to what Adam has, but enough is enough already, drop the Idol label, this marvelously talented man is a super- superstar in his own right

There’s still an AI stigma on Adam!?!? I believe that it should be the other way around. There should be an Adam stigma on AI!! No one since has held a match to Adam. I think that people are too caught up on labels and Adam is a person that defies and blows himself out of every label and stereotype out there. Adam has an amazing voice and a tremendous stage presence, and a huge heart and deserves all the success in the world!!

I think he proved that with the first notes of Bohemian Rhapsody!

I know how Adam Lambert can prove himself; stop getting down on national television. I’m cool with whatever he wants to do in bed, but once he drags it onto my viewing is when I draw the line.
