Bristol Palin responds to Margaret’s Cho’s comments

HollywoodNews.com: Controversy just seems to follow the dancing Palin, but Bristol is not one to back down from a fight either. Recently, fellow ‘DWTS’ contestant, Margaret Cho, made some comments in a blog entry that alluded to Bristol being forced to compete by her mother, Sarah. Well, the time has come for Bristol to respond. At first, Bristol was very composed and thoughtful regarding Cho’s critique of Bristol’s apparent motives, but that only lasted so long.

Palin chose to end her response with an off-color comment directed at Cho’s sexuality. Everyone makes mistakes, but given that this is not the Palin family’s first instance of off-color comments against the LGBT community, sympathies are running thin. The young Palin was discussing her family’s politics and advocated understanding from Cho, but she kind of threw that all out the window with this comment.

“…if you understood that commonsense conservative values supports the right of individuals like you, like all of us, to live our lives with less government interference and more independence, you would embrace us faster than KD Lang at an Indigo Girls concert.”

The reference is obviously a slight shot at Cho’s bisexuality, even if it is a bit outdated. So far, Cho has not responded to Palin’s comments.

Do you think Palin’s comment was insensitive and uncalled for? Or is she just defending her family from constant attacks?
