Emma Stone shows blonde roots for Spider-Man role

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Raise your hand if you knew “Easy A” star Emma Stone actually was a blonde.

Me neither until recently. Every incarnation of Stone we’ve seen on screen, from “Easy” to “Superbad” and back through “Zombieland,” has featured her as a redhead.

But the actress, who has been cast as love interest Gwen Stacy in Marc Webb’s Spider-Man reboot, has been going through hair tests in Los Angeles and stepped out on the red carpet with her blonde locks on display.

So, is this what Ms. Stone will look like as Peter Parker’s high school sweetheart?

She looks great. Better as a blonde (and she was beautiful as a redhead). As we already know, Spider-Man begins filming this month as it prepares for its July 2012 release. Andrew Garfield of “The Social Network” and “Never Let Me Go” plays the lead. He’ll be joined by Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Denis Leary, Irrfan Khan and Campbell Scott.
