Leonardo DiCaprio’s slasher sentenced to two years in prison

By Sean O’Connell Now we have a legal precedent in place should anyone else want to disfigure a major celebrity.

Five years ago, Aretha Wilson slashed Leonardo DiCaprio’s face at a house party using a broken glass. The “Inception” star required surgery (though you wouldn’t guess, looking at his movie-star perfect mug).

Yesterday, Wilson was sentenced to two years in a state prison, according to the AP. Wilson, 40, has been hiding out in Canada, but recently returned to the United States and has been in jail since July awaiting sentencing.

The report says Wilson likely will serve six months. Perhaps by then, DiCaprio will have scored another Oscar nomination for “Inception” or “Shutter Island.” Hopefully Wilson can watch the Academy Awards from her cell.
