“Inception” topples “Twilight,” takes top spot on video sales charts

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: People are hoping to unravel Christopher Nolan’s mind puzzle in the comfort of their own homes now that “Inception” is available on Blu-ray and DVD.

The summer blockbuster easily beat “Twilight” to become the highest-selling disc for the week ending Dec. 12, according to THR.

Oddly enough, “Inception didn’t fare quite as well on the rental charts. But that’s most likely because it’s a title fans of the film would want to own, and in this age of fading Blockbuster Videos, it’s harder to rent a film than it is to buy.

Instead, “Shrek Forever After” topped the rental charts, while “Toy Story 3” remains “a steady holiday season seller, holding on to its No. 4 position on the sales chart in its sixth week of release.”
