Michelle Williams wanted to shed ‘Dawson’s Creek’ image

HollywoodNews.com: Michelle Williams knew early on that ‘Dawson’s Creek’ was not the kind of work she wanted to do in the long run, but she also knew it would be hard to be taken seriously after being a part of it.

Williams admits that she was always ready to get rid of the “pop tart” image the show portrayed, states PopEater. “I was plotting my tastes, my interests, my beliefs and hopes for what I could be,” Williams said about how she spent her time on the show.

After the show, she admits she struggled to get the parts she wanted, but eventually she landed a play role that was more than about being blonde. From there, things began to take off, “gradually, then suddenly.”

Do you think Michelle Williams has shed that image?
