Zooey Deschanel embroiled in lawsuit

HollywoodNews.com: Even though Zooey Deschanel has always come off as the new, stylish face of Hollywood, sometimes an outfit just doesn’t work. In this case, it looks like it’s Deschanel’s shoes that just don’t fit. Deschanel is suing famous shoemaker, Steve Madden, for a cool $2 million over apparently being completely snubbed in an endorsement deal in August 2010.

Steve Madden and Deschanel had an endorsement deal worth $2 million, but Madden alleged that retailers would not back the deal, so a new deal was made worth $1.5 million. Deschanel says that she has upheld her end of the detail, but Steve Madden has yet to pay up and now Deschanel is out to get her retribution. Deschanel claims she was also promised a percentage of the profits if a certain level of sales was attained, TMZ reports.
